While at Grandma Farar's on the trampoline
Lauren: Mommy, jump with me
Me: Lauren I can't jump...your baby sister will fall out of my tummy
Lauren: I will hold her
Me: No you can't hold her she is too little
Lauren: Then I will put her back!
A Few Minutes Later
Me: Lauren what are we going to do tomorrow?
Lauren: Um...come to Grandma Cheryl's house
Me: Maybe, but you are coming on Thursday cause Mommy is going to get your baby sisters picture taken (ultrasound).
Lauren: Say Cheese (pretends to take my picture and hand me the picture)
Lauren: See...Mommy and baby sister
A Few Minutes Later
Lauren: No more sisters
Me: No more sisters???
Lauren: Just my baby sister...one
Me: Well how many brothers?
Lauren: Um...two
(apparently Lauren has done our family planning and Dean will get his boys after all!)
I think it is usually insulting to tell someone they have a simple mind, but I think it wouldn't hurt if things were a little more simple sometimes...including my mind. I really appreciate the simplicity of my 2 year old's thinking. It's amazing how much you can learn from a child if you just pay attention. I hope I remember these moments, even if our conversations don't make very much sense!

That was very cute and she is very funny! I love talking to children.
I always used to love Bill Cosby when he would ask kids questions :D
Kids "do say the darndest things" :)
