{Halloween}

A little pre-party tantrum from the princess herself!

Halloween is definitely not my favorite holiday, but it is more fun when you have kids. This year since the Trunk or Treat was not actually on Halloween, we were able to "celebrate" twice. Our friends, The Thompson's, had a party at their house, so we went to that. We all sat outside in the driveway and the kids watched a movie that was played on the garage door. It was a lot of fun!

All the Princesses watching the movie and eating!

We took the kids around the block twice (remind me to never have 10 kids--we would have to skip Halloween), but there were so few houses handing out candy that Lauren's bucket didn't even get filled half way. But that's okay, she had fun and looked ridiculously cute (in my humble opinion) so that's all that matters!!

These are 9 of the 10 kids that we took around the second time...child #10 eventually makes an appearance for the picture, but has stripped off her costume and is in her underwear, so I omitted that picture!

I thought Lauren did really well, I tried to stay back and let her do it on her own. All the other kids would rush to the door and say the magic words, but Lauren just moseyed up there and stood off to the side until all the other kids had run off, then she would stick out her bucket and quietly say trick or treat. Towards the end I think she was real tired. I had to keep prodding her along saying "Come on Lauren, let's go." Apparently I was annoying her because she finally said to me "I'm coming MOM...be patient!" (Hm...where has she heard that before??) I sure am glad Halloween is only once a year!
