{One Flu Over the Cuckoos Nest}

As I was cleaning up throw up for about the 10th time, it came to me. Lauren has the flu, and I am going cuckoo--hence---One Flu Over the Cuckoo's Nest! (Sorry Psych Major in me...I was supposed to watch that movie for one of my classes, but Jack Nicholson was way too creepy--I think I watched it muted with my eyes shut most of the time.) Well Lauren started throwing up about 5pm on Thursday and by 5pm on Friday she was good to go. At least if she gets sick, I can usually count on her being better within 24 hours! I feel so bad when she is sick though, she just kept saying "I don't like being sick." So sad!

I love these jammies on Kylee. She looks so adorable in the bright colors. Before I could take her picture in them, she spit up all over herself. As I went to change her, her shirt got stuck on her big (but beautiful) head (that she inherited from her mother). Check out that belly (that she inherited from her father!) (Side Note: this reminds me of my sister when she was little. She always wanted to have long hair, but hers was thin and wouldn't grow. So she used to put blankets or towels on her head, then my mom would put in it in a "pony tail" with a scrunchy so she could pretend she had long hair! I should find a picture!)

I debated about posting the next picture. I didn't know if it would make all the other women out there jealous and mad at their husbands. This is the jewelery Dean got me for Valentines Day. He called it my V-Day Bling:

In case you can't tell, it is a necklace, with a "love note" attached and two bracelets. Also, in case you couldn't tell, he mad them himself. I am so lucky! The deal for Valentine Gifts this year was, we could not spend any money on our presents, and we had to make them ourselves. He was supposedly going to make me breakfast, but since I got up before him, and already ate a bowl of cereal, that plan didn't work. So instead he made me these. So thoughtful! The sad part is, I will probably never wear them...they are just a little to flashy for me (but don't tell Dean)!

Sweet girls. I love the shirt on Kylee's head. What a sweet husband you have. That's a cute idea and I like the idea of not spending money, but making something.

Dean is so fun! We made the deal to not spend money on gifts our second Christmas together. We were living in Pittsburgh while Troy was getting his Masters. It was the best Christmas ever because we used our imaginations and came up with truly thoughtful gifts. I keep wanting to do that again but with kids it just doesn't happen.
