{The Farm}

The farm is a wonderful place to be. Whether we are outside enjoying the wonderful weather or inside playing games, we have fun. I have realized that for my kids and my husband, there are few places they would rather be.

This year D1 and D6 were there the same time we were. As well as another cousin and an aunt and an uncle. The men kept themselves busy with the farm chores, the kids explored and played, while us women talked, cooked, and made sure everyone and everything remained intact. And other than a few mosquito bites and Dean falling off the stack of hay bails, everyone was relatively injury free!

One afternoon we headed to the reservoir to let the kids play in the little beach area. Everyone had a lot of fun playing in the water, building sand castles, and throwing mud and rocks.

Kylee and I just enjoyed the shade!

They hooked up the hose to the slide and the kids would go flying down it and go sliding across the grass. Regardless of my encouragement, Lauren only did it a couple times, because she was too bothered by the grass that was sticking to her legs. She kept asking for her towel to get the grass off. I finally gave up and just gave her the towel!

One of the nights, we made s'mores with the kids. So yummy!

This year there were several cows on the farm. I was sitting on the trampoline watching the cows with Lauren and we started talking about them. I told her about how cows can fall asleep standing up and if you push them they will fall over. She thought that was hilarious and asked me to tell her over and over again. Dean unfortunately also taught her about cow pies! Ugh!

It is always hard to say goodbye to everyone, but it sure is fun to see them. We are grateful for the opportunities we have to be with our grandparents and for the memories our family will have with them.

It was fun to see you and your kids! Your girls are so cute and fun to be around. The farm is a one-of-a-kind place, isn't it?

It was so much fun!!!! I am so glad that we got to be there at the same time! I am going to miss those cutie pies :) I almost started crying when I realized I wouldn't see them again for awhile (hopefully only 6 months)but who knows?
Hopefully we'll have the opportunity to do that again! :D
