I decided Lauren needed a haircut before she started preschool (yes, I signed her up for preschool--sigh), so I made her an appointed with my friend Katie who is currently attending beauty school. I figured Katie could learn to cut a little girls hair and I would only have to pay $6 (I know--cheapo)! I asked Lauren if she wanted to keep it long or cut it short. She picked short. She sat very still in the beginning, but when Katie was cutting her bangs, she started to loose it and tears were shed, because the hair was falling on her face. In the end, everyone survived and her hair looks cute. Afterward I bought her a gum ball out of the quarter machine and that made everything alright! Basically all the blond ends got cut off and her hair now flips under instead of out. Dean says she looks like Edna Molder from Incredibles. I think she looks like our adorable baby girl, that is growing up way too fast!
In the car on the way home Lauren said: Mom, when my hair gets long again, Katie will cut it and I will get a gumball, okay? (Oh the simple pleasures!)

Ooh, I really like it! Tell Lauren that she looks beautiful! and I always love looking at the color of Gorgeous' hair! :D
so cute. I think I like Kaylee's hair more than she does. It is so fun to do and cut b/c it isn't curly!

She will probably associate gumballs and haircuts forever now...and that will be really sweet.
