Supposedly someone somewhere decided that now would be an appropriate time for the Fall season to begin. They obviously didn't live here. Yeah, okay sure, it's Fall, but it is still 100+ degrees outside. Um, last time I checked, that isn't Fall weather.
Well in my attempt to be a more positive person, I thought to myself: "Self, you should take your family to the park to celebrate! That is a great Fall Family Activity!" So we went. With smiles on our faces!
Unfortunately my personal "positive bubble" burst when I started sweating after pushing Kylee in the swing for 5 minutes! Ugh!! I need to move to a cooler place! But I continued to smile and be positive, there was no complaining from me! I was being positive, remember?
Of course the kids LOVED it. Kylee thought swinging was the greatest thing ever. She giggled like crazy! Dean chased Lauren around the tree house and the castle and she was in heaven. Then they walked through the park, counting all the owls (not real) that were hidden amongst the play equipment. It really was fun to get out and play, perhaps when fall really comes, we will do it again!
Kylee swinging and giggling.
I put Lauren in this ridiculously, bizarre swing. I told her it looked like she was going to ride a roller coaster. So she pretended she was. It made it more fun.
Kylee liked the tube. Lauren humored me for the picture.
Flying the plane with daddy.
Daddy helped Lauren "build a sand castle."

I hope you don't mind me looking at your blog, this is Mary (ullery) biggs, I am deans cousin ( like 5th), and was looking at Katie's blog and saw all the farar blogs and just had to tell you your girls are so adorable!!
Just be glad it doesn't SNOW in the fall like it does (and already has) here in PA! I'm still holding firm to the idea that we completely skipped summer this year. Down to 90?! I don't think we got up to 90. Ever! It's just as hard for kids to get out to play around here. There have been plenty of times that Kaia has INSISTED on swinging out in the snow and bitter cold. Oh well, I guess I get to enjoy PA for at least a little bit longer.
