It has rained. And rained. And rained.
And rained!
I think it is safe to say that we have had more rain in the last 3 months than we usually do all year! But guess what, I am not complaining! I don't care how many times I have to rewash my car. As long as it keeps the 120 degree summer at bay, I am a happy camper!
After the last down poor, I let the kids play outside in the water while I cleaned off the porch. This was a huge breakthrough for me because 1) I don't like having dirty children, 2) I dread washing muddy clothes--See Exhibit A, 3) I don't see the need play in the rain/mud, 4) I hate getting dirty/wet/muddy, 5)I know that if my kids are dirty, I will get dirty, and 6) Please refer back to number 4!
Exhibit A:
So needless to say the kids L-O-V-E-D it, and although I hate to admit it, we all lived through the experience!
But don't bet on us doing it again anytime soon!
Not sure where the spoon came from, but Kylee was having fun with it!
Although our grass is greener than it has been in a long time, with the rain came the weeds! {Opposition in all things, right?!?} Lauren had fun with Dean on Saturday, in the cool weather, spraying all the weeds and getting the yard cleaned up! {We will have to see how long she enjoys doing yard work!} However, with today's temperature in the high 80's, I have a feeling summer is coming, fast and no matter what!
