{Days Like This}

As a final hoorah to Spring Break, we kept Lauren home from preschool on Monday {since Dean didn't have work} and spent the morning doing fun things together!

We began by throwing our Easter eggs into the river. Why you ask? I don't know! When I was little and we lived in Utah, we used to roll our Easter eggs (the hard boiled-dyed ones) down a hill. When we moved to Yuma, there was no hill to roll them down, so my Dad suggested we throw them off the bridge into the river. That became our new family tradition and every year from then on we did it! For some reason Dean had never been informed of this tradition and thought I was crazy when I suggested it! Regardless, we headed to the river and chucked our eggs into the river. Lauren loved it, Dean sat in the car with Kylee. I think he was afraid we would get arrested. I figure if anything we are feeding the fish!

Then we headed over to the castle park and played our hearts out. Kylee giggled constantly and Lauren enjoyed every minute.

Lauren especially loved the tire swing.

Dad thought he was one of the monkeys!

The girls loved the slides.

I even went down the endless twisty, dark tunnel with Kylee!

I tried getting a video of the girls going down the slide. It didn't work so well!

We finished up our afternoon by running a couple of errands, feeding the ducks and cruising through the drive-thru at "Old Mc Donald's"!

It was a great day! {And I'm not just saying that because it got me out of having to do the laundry!}
