{Swimming Lessons}

Lauren already finished swimming lessons for the summer! She did an awesome job. She was a little scared the first 2 or 3 days, to do some of the things and it took her a little while to remember the things she had learned from lessons the previous years, but by day 4 she was ready to go!

She did very well swimming and learning to breathe. She even jumped into the pool without holding on to her teacher! {that's totally HUGE!} Diving was her favorite and being in the deep end while wearing her life jacket was horrible! I thought she was going to have a melt-down! Eventually she relaxed enough to realize she wasn't going to sink.

Ryan and Lacie were in her class along with Ryan's friend. Although the mom's spent a lot of time keeping the kids focused on swimming, everyone did a great job!

In the beginning, I bribed Lauren with the Belle Princess Barbie if she was brave and tried everything the teacher asked, even if it was scary. I know bribing isn't the best parenting tool, but it sure helped in this case! She did awesome, learned a lot, and overcame her fears! I look forward to seeing her swim on her own this summer! {And we will soon be adding Belle to the Barbie Collection!)
