{Cheese}

Lauren had her first official school picture taken a couple of weeks ago. She has been acting so shy about all these new experiences she has been having at the beginning of the school year, that seeing her huge, adorable smile before 3pm had been rare.

I figured that getting her picture taken would be one of those times when her smile wouldn't appear. I talked to her a couple of times about "don't forget to smile"--"show them your best smile"--"smile pretty, don't be nervous." When I asked her how it went, she said she smiled big!



And I think she was right!
She's one pretty adorable kindergartner, if I must say so myself!

I met her for lunch the other day at school. It was fun to watch her interact with all her friends. She has definitely settled into being a big kindergartner, smiling and all. She was so excited to have me come eat with her and asked if I could do it everyday, which I thought was cute. However, as soon as it was time to play outside for recess, I was quickly forgotten. I guess I just can't compete with recess!


{Someday, approximately 8-10 years from now, I will remind her of the time she once wanted to be seen with me at school. EVERYDAY! I have a feeling at that time, she will feel otherwise!}
