{Lauren Stories}

Lauren had an eventful couple of days:

#1  It started with losing another tooth!  This time it was REALLY loose, so I just pulled it out!  She wasn't too excited about me just "pulling it out"!  I pulled the trick that my mother used on me and used a paper towel to wipe it off, then yank it out!  Of course it bled {the bleeding part kind of freaks her out!}, but after swishing with salt water, she was good to go!  The tooth fairy came that night and she got a $1! Woo Hoo!

 {If you look closely at her nose, she has the most adorable freckles! I ♥ them!}

#2  A few days later while playing outside, Lauren colored the side gate with sidewalk chalk.  She then decided she wanted to wipe it off and proceeded to rub her had along the wood slat to wipe off the chalk!  Well, the chalk stayed and instead she got a hand full of splinters!  She told me she hurt her hand, but I didn't realize until bed time that her had was full of splinters {I don't really think the picture does it justice-there were tons}! Poor little thing!  After an hour of trying and having only pulled out 10 of the splinters, we decided to just let them fester their way out.  Within a few days I was able to pull out 10 more.  Her little hand was still covered.  After a few more days, the rest found their way out.

#3  Then, the other morning while brushing her teeth before school, the curling iron we just used to curl her hair, fell on the floor.  Instead of grabbing the handle, she full-fist grabbed the actual hot barrel.  She came running to me, holding out her hand: "Mom I dropped the curling iron..." then burst into tears!  Luckily, she let go quickly and it had actually been unplugged for a little while.  I kept her home for a little while until she said she was ready to go to school.  Then after a full day of ice packs {she said she went to the nurse 3 times! ;)} Her little hand has seemed to recover!
