I Love My Life

On my way home last night, I had to fight the traffic leaving Cibola graduation. I realized it has been 7 years since I graduated. So then I had a little moment of self-reflection...what in the world have I been doing for the last 7 years (All I know is things did not turn out like I had expected). Here is what I came up with...(in no particular order)

Graduated from NAU with a BS (without ever leaving Yuma)
Got Married (Almost 5 years)
Supported a husband through College (He's finally done...for now!)
Had a child and Growing #2
Retired from Pilkington after 6 years
Had 3 Church Callings (YW's, Primary Teacher, Nursery)
Owned 2 houses-Moved 3 times

Somewhere in there I missed the spending a semester abroad, moving away, becoming a famous Scrapbook Guru with my own line and magazine, living the single life and then eventually settling down with someone RICH! Oh well... maybe next time. I heard a song on the radio and of course I cried (dang hormones--no more country music!!)

Blue and pink in the nursery
Gold and silver anniversaries
Dancing in the living room
Our little girl, and me and you

I've got everything, more than I ever dreamed
I love my life
I thank God for all I have
And that I love this man
Who loves his wife
I love my life

So sure... there are things I would change (bigger pay checks, loose 30 lbs, etc.)...but I guess I can honestly say...I love my life! So...here's to another 7 years...

Isn't it crazy how fast time flies by? I remember graduating from Cibola. Are you from Yuma too? I didn't see any pictures of you on this blog so I really don't know who Dean married. I feel silly saying that. Sounds like you're doing great. Isn't life so fun even though some times if feels so simple.

Life never turns out the way we think it will. But usually it is for the better (Heavenly Father is great that way :)

I can't believe it's been 7 years for me, too!

We missed you guys this weekend! :(

I just realized that you and my brother's wife our due on the same day. That is crazy. It is pretty amazing how things work out. I am positive if you told me 12 years ago that I would live in Arizona I would of just laughed. Life is great! We did miss you this past weekend.

No kidding about how life can end up different than you think!! I would say that my life is a perfect example of that!
