A Girl Can Dream...

Lately I have been trying to catch up on my scrapbooking. I had not done it in so long that I wasn't in the mood. But once I got started, I was hooked...again. I was able to catch up to July 2007, so I am only a year behind now. Part of this process has been trying to organize all my supplies (or "crap" as Dean so affectionately refers to it). I have made some major headway. However, in the process, I allowed my mind to dream up what my scrapbook room could really look like. How organized everything could be in custom cabinetry with everything having the perfect spot. How beautiful and inspiring it could look with brightly painted walls and how much better my pages would look if I had good, natural lighting to create them in!  I would have room for every imaginable supply and a place to try new crafts like sewing.  But I should not complain.  I may not have a gorgeous room, but I have a lot...I've got gadgets and gizmos a plenty, I've got whosits and whatsits galore, you want thing-a-ma-bobs, I've got 20, but who cares no big deal....I WANT MORE! (oh...sorry about that...5pts. name the movie).  Anyway...so in my online quest for ideas to better organize myself, I found these.

I will not covet.
I will not covet.
I will not covet.

Yeah, so it will probably be 20 years before my craft room looks like these, but a girl can dream right?  So until then I will get my head out of the clouds and get back to work scrappin'...you know where to find me.

Fortunately, I have the little mermaid ingrained into my brain. That was one of the movies Thomas would watch repeatedly when I got pregnant with Alex :(

I want those rooms, too. Except for the last one, that one looks like a store...
And I really wish we lived closer, because I have been trying to convince myself to scrapbook Alex's first year book... we'll see if I get to it. :D

Yeah, my sister has her perfect scrapbook room. She even has that project table in the second picture. It's her dream and she made it come true. I live with her right now and we spend SO much time in that room! I wish it was spent more on scrapbooking, but we mostly blog, pay bills, kid craft projects, etc.

I don't have a scrapbooking room, but I do dream that any room at my place was organized right now!!!
