Lauren did not get a nap yesterday, which means she was grumpy and emotional. After getting home last night around 9 she slowly began to lose it. Crying for no reason, throwing fits. So I jumped in the shower (Dean was still at work) and told her to lay down on the floor in my room where she could see me poke my head out and talk to her. As I am showering I hear her yell something at me, I look out:
Me: "What did you say?"
Lauren: "Mumble Mumble"
Me: "Lauren I can't understand you when you're crying."
Lauren: "I don't LIKE you ANY--MORE"
Me: " Oh Lauren, that makes me sad. Why don't you like me?"
Lauren: "I DON'T KNOW." (Followed by uncontrollable crying)
It was very deep. I had to hide my face so she wouldn't see me laugh. I have a feeling those words will escape her mouth again in about 13 years...I can't wait!

She is so 2 going on 13! I don't know if I am ready for emotional girls. I think maybe that's why I get the boys :D
Girls are so dramatic aren't they? Actually my SON has been telling me lately, "You're MEAN mom!" I just say, "I know it, I am so mean." Many times he'll come back to me and say, "Oh your not really mean mom."
LOL! I'm sure Riley will be doing the same thing real soon!
whew! sounds like a crazy week! Hope next week goes better!
