I hate when my baby is sick!! We woke up Tuesday morning around 5am to a little girl who was on FIRE! Ugh...again...one of my worst fears! Immediately we began the rotations of Tylenol/Motrin but within 30 minutes, the first dose of Motrin and her dinner from the night before, were all over the bed. Fun, I know. Poor thing, I felt so helpless. I think the worst part is the lack of control I feel when my 2 year old is throwing up with tears rolling down her cheeks and there is nothing I can do. As adults we understand that we are sick and it will eventually go away, but to a child, they are just miserable and want it all to stop...now! Luckily her fever didn't stay high for long and we were able to survive the day lying around the house, watching cartoons, taking a bath and just relaxing.... with a bucket near by! She looked so sad and on the verge of tears all day. We prepared ourselves for a long night. I basically woke up every 30 minutes to check on her, but luckily the night was uneventful. So as of now, I think she is on the tail end of this. Hopefully this will be the last sickness in our home...at least for the winter.
