We went to Disneyland this past weekend. I won't go as far as to say it is the "Happiest Place on Earth," but we did have a great time. Dean and I decided it had a lot to do with the fact we had4 kids with us. While Kylee slept the whole time, Lauren, Ryan and Lacie had a lot of fun and loved the rides (except the "stary" ones!). Their excitement at all the magical things made it worth the ridiculously overpriced tickets for admittance.
Dean rode most of the rides with Lauren, since I was holding Kylee.
The lines weren't bad on Friday, so they rode the Tea Cups three times in a row!
Lacie enjoying a snack!
I had Kylee in a Snuggli backpack thinger. It was a life saver. She did not want to be in the stroller, but slept peacefully in the Snuggli.
Lauren having a mid-day mental breakdown...I like to call it "No Nap."
Doing our best pirate impressions while waiting in line for Pirates of the Caribbean --a "stary" ride!
Taking a break...the weather was wonderful!
I was a little disappointed because we did not see a single princess for the whole 2 days we were there!
Riding Winnie the Pooh!
Lauren was ticked because she could not reach the steering wheel with the bar in the way!
Such a pretty little Kylee! (I bought her a hat at DL and coated her in sunscreen. I was paranoid she was going to get sun burned. However I forgot to do the same for myself. When we got back to the hotel Friday evening, I realized my arms, face & eyes were a little fried! You would think after 25 years of living with fare skin I would learn!)
Ryan wanted to ride Dumbo so bad! We couldn't leave without letting him ride it. He was in tears when we told him we were leaving DL. He wanted to stay!
So, in the end we had a great time. It was fun being together and watching the kids get so excited about everything. However, the next time we go will not be with any children under the age of 1, or else Dean better be prepared to carry me around in a backpack!
Best Part of the Trip: No One Got Sick! (Until we got home---Kylee and I have colds! Yippee!)

Sounds like a lot of fun! We decided that next summer will be our adventure to Disneyland for the first time with the kids. We plan to take the boys and leave this baby girl (you know, the one in my belly) home. She'll be about a year and I don't want the extra load. Plus, the boys will be at an age to really enjoy it and a 1 year old won't. Glad you had fun anyway.
How fun!! I'm hoping to take the kids this summer. You'll have to give me tips for taking 4 kids! ;)
I WANT TO GO!!!!
Me too!!!!!!
Oh how fun! I should have sent Brandon with your family! (ha ha)
It looks like you had a great time! I love the picture of Goofy!
I'm so glad you were able to go!
Your pictures are great!
How fun!!!
I love the pic of Dean and Lauren in the tea cup! That will be one to treasure :)
No princess sightings?!!! That would be so sad! You should write DL a letter and maybe you'll get an "autographed" picture? :)
so, I can't wait to hear more details... like how the whole food system went... how you stayed so late?... how the kids were the second day?
But I am so glad that you guys had such a great time! :D
Looks like you had a really fun trip! I am ready to go back there myself...:)
