{Thanksgiving Day}

We spent this Thanksgiving at home and it was really nice! Both of our families had traveled out of town so we spent Thanksgiving dinner with friends. Although we missed our family, it was nice to be home, relax, sleep in our own beds and get a lot of projects accomplished at home, over the long weekend.

We had dinner at the Nelson's house with their family and new friends from the ward. It was great to have dinner with them, especially since everyone brought food to share (making the cooking easy!) and we used paper plates (making clean up a cinch!)--my kind of Thanksgiving!





I am not really a pie person, but I attempted to make a pie, using my Grandma Chadwick's crust recipe. I failed at rolling it out and got really frustrated with it. Luckily Dean has watched his mother make a pie or two, so he was able to salvage my creation. Apparently I need to make them more often!
