Lauren loves to swing, but she always wants to be pushed.
Constantly.
The whole time she's swinging.
We have tried to teach her how to "pump" her legs so she can swing on her own. She refused to do it.
The other day she was outside swinging and I realized she was doing it all by herself! I asked her who taught her how to do it and she said it was her preschool teachers.
I foresee a pattern:
mom and dad + teach or tell her something new = no cooperation
someone other than mom and dad + teach or tell her something new = total cooperation

That is the exact pattern that my boys follow. They always learn/do much better when it comes from someone other than me or JOrdan. Silly kids.
Lizzy is the exact same say. I'm trying not to take it personally. :) I gotta tell ya, I wanted to throw a party the day Lizzy really learned to pump herself on a swing. Yes!! No more pushing, well at least not as much pushing.
