{Time Out}

About 5 years ago, I went to Time Out for Women with my mom, sister and sister-in-law in San Diego. What I thought would be a great weekend spent with the girls turned into a not so great experience. My sister drove and due to poor directions given by back seat drivers {I won't point any fingers!} and a one-way street, we ended up having a car accident on the way to the event. However, after a strange sequence of events, we made it to TOFW in plenty of time. Shortly after the program began, I started feeling sick. Morning sickness {or in my case-all day sickness-I had just found out I was pregnant with Lauren!!} So I spent the whole time in the bathroom or in the hallway trying not to throw up!

So when I saw the email for TOFW this year in Phoenix, I decided it was time to try it again! And I am so glad we did! We had a great time! The theme was Infinite Hope. The presenters were amazing and I basically cried through all of them! As a part of the event we helped assemble HOPE KITS. These are similar to a "hygiene" kit, but included items specialized to give women the HOPE & CONFIDENCE they need to get back on their feet and be their BEST selves. They were then donated to a shelter in Phoenix. All the talks on hope, faith and encouragement were just what I needed; the time out boost I needed to get myself going again.

Friday night we enjoyed listening to Virginia H. Pearce {A Successful Life}, Wendy Watson Nelson {Being A Holy Woman}, Sheri Dew {Choosing Righteous Influences} with musical presentation from Dallyn Vaile Bayles.

We had skipped dinner before it began, so we went to this grill across the street from our hotel and that was so good we ended up eating breakfast there.

Ashley making fun of mom! {Mom's a good sport!}:

Saturdays events were awesome as well! We heard from DeAnne Flynn {Drawing on Good Patterns}, Brad Wilcox {It's By Grace that We Are Saved}, Mariama Kallon {You Can Read her Story Here and Here -ABSOLUTELY Amazing!}, Amanda Dickson {Do Get Your Hopes Up}, Merrilee Boyack {Your Powerful Choice} and the music of Mercy River.

We skipped lunch in exchange for getting steaks afterward; however, we needed a little something to hold us over!:

Baby Jason came and he was an angel the entire time, until it came time to sleep Friday night. {But hey! Who needs sleep?}:

I consider myself pretty lucky to have these 3 in my family and I intend to not wait 5 more years to do this again:

I love TOFW. I wish that I could have gone this year...it is 3 hours away, and I think very close to my due date. So, hopefully next year. I went a couple of years ago with my mom and sisters and LOVED it. It really is just what you need to hear at the time. I am glad that you girls got to go. You all look beautiful!

Sooo fun! I've only been to on TOFW but have always wanted to go back. Maybe next year. I LOVED that story about Mariama Kallon! Wow, we are so blessed and we have no idea what we can do for others with a little tube of toothpaste! Thanks for sharing.
