{Black Friday}

Thanksgiving day, I scoured the ads for deals on Christmas presents I had intended on buying this year. Sure enough, I found some great deals {around 50% off!}! So Ericka and I settled on a plan, took short naps and hit stores at 11pm Thursday night, beginning with Walmart!

Talk about crazy!! I was so glad Ericka was there with me, because I had no idea how wild people got and there is no way I could have done it alone! After we grabbed the things we needed at midnight, we were out of the store 22 minutes later. Next, were unsuccessful stops at Old Navy and Children's Place. By 1:30am we were in line at Target, outside, FREEZING until 4am when they opened!! Although it was so cold, we had fun joking and laughing with the people in line around us and fighting off the line cutters!



After spending exactly 23 minutes in Target, we had what we needed and were back in the car. We checked out Sports Authority, but decided it wasn't worth the wait and then successfully hit up Old Navy again. We then finished our adventure with Starbucks' Hot Chocolate and arrived home around 5:30am; just in time to climb into bed! Dean and the kids were kind enough to let me sleep until 10:30 Friday morning, and I survived the day without a nap, but by 8pm that night, I could hardly keep my eyes open!

Some people say the chaos of Black Friday shopping isn't worth it, and perhaps it isn't, but all I know is we had a GOOD time! And that was worth every sleepless minute!
