Lauren informed me that she wanted to be Jessie from Toy Story the first time I asked her and she stuck to it. There was no changing her mind {even though we already have at least 6 Princess dresses!!}. I also knew I wanted Kylee to be a lady bug. You could buy the Jessie jumpsuit costume at the store, but I just couldn't bring myself to do it and I was not impressed with the ladybug costumes either. {Plus I knew Kylee would freak out if I tried to put her in tights and a tutu!} So I made their costumes this year and I think they turned out pretty cute!
Since Halloween was on a Sunday this year, we went to the Trunk-or-Treat at the church, but did not go trick-or-treating around the neighborhood. Which was fine, since the girls got tons of candy just doing one!
The girls waited patiently until it was time to beg for candy from all the other cars!
Kylee was hilarious to watch with her bucket full of candy, zipping in and out of the crowds of kids in search of more. Lauren was her usual, quiet-reserved self. I kept trying to get her to say "Yee-haw" or "Howdy Partner" but she wouldn't have any of that! I was lucky to convince her to basically whisper "trick-or-treat" and "thank-you"!
Dean was the candy-hand-er-outer {yes, that's the official term} while I walked the kids around with my Mom. {If you can't tell, Dean and I dressed up as ourselves. Frighting, I know! I will spare you the picture of me!}
We ended the evening with In-N-Out, way too much candy, and two tired little girls!!

Those costumes are adorable!! I wish my kids had a mom who could sew costumes! I've hot glued costumes together before, does that count?
Beat my daughter's jumpsuit!! haha just kidding. Way cute costumes. Once again, you are so so so talented. Did I mention how talented you are?? :)
Love the costumes!!! You did a great job.
