{Two}

Baby Kylee is now officially 2!

Normally for birthdays, we have family over in the evening for cake and ice cream. However, with the already insane December schedule, we decided for Kylee's birthday, to do something during the day. So we had all the little cousins come over for pizza and cupcakes. We ate, the kids played, the moms {and Dean} talked and then Kylee opened her presents.

We got her a Jessie and Woody Toy Story doll. Both of which, she was SO excited about. {It totally made my sleepless-long line-black friday shopping worth it!} She also got other fun toys from cousins and grandparents.

When it came time to sing and blow out the candles, she just stared at everyone at first, but then she was loving the attention. She didn't get the whole candle thing, so I had to help her blow them out, but you could tell she loved the attention and having everyone sing to her! And of course she loved eating the cupcake!

Time is flying and she is growing up, trading her baby ways for a toddler personality all her own. It's as if she grew up over night; her mannerisms, speech, and abilities are changing way too quickly! She has a mind of her own and has no problem telling you about it! Like when she tells me "no singing" when I rock her to sleep or "stop talking" when I try to tell her something. She has the patience of her mother {practically non-existent} and a loving heart like no other. I can't count the number of times a day I hear: "Mommy, Mommy, Mommy, I wub you!" And no matter how many times I hear it, my heart melts and I turn to mush. I love how when you tickle her she giggles contagiously and squeals "that tittles." I love how she runs for her fork and high chair the minute I start cooking dinner and gets so squeal-happy excited about every little thing; especially her Daddy and going for a ride. I love how she thinks she is a cat and crawls around on the floor meowing {yes, even at church}. When you tease her, she gets the cutest-crooked lip-little smile, that I can't explain. When I see it, it makes me beyond happy-and I wonder how I got so lucky. Then I thank Heavenly Father for such a sweet little girl...we sure love our Kylee Sue!

Side Note: If you listen carefully, while she is playing with Woody and Jessie, you might hear her say phrases like:

"Giddy Up Bullseye"
"You're a toy!"
"There's a snake in my boot"
"Andy" (while looking at the bottom of Woody's boot}
"Howdy Partner"

Perhaps she has seen the movies a few too many times. Either way, I love her little voice and how sweet she is! I wish I could jar up the happiness she exudes when playing with her Toy Story dolls. I have never seen a child so happy with a toy!
