{Deck the Halls}

One of my favorite things is decorating for Christmas and I usually do it on the day after Thanksgiving. This year, however, I was 4 days late! {I know, despicable right?} Lauren and I decorated the house, while Dean set up the tree. Then Lauren put most of the ornaments on herself {which is a huge breakthrough for me, letting her do it all by herself-and I didn't move a single one!} She did such a good job!





Since it was Monday night, we turned it into our Family Home Evening activity, complete with hot chocolate and s'mores. We used these giant marshmallows which made for super messy faces {you can buy them at Walmart and they are fun for roasting}!


I will spare you the pictures of me and Dean...well, simply because they are just disturbing and gross! But at least we had fun eating them! Kylee wasn't really fond of all the deck the halls business, except eating marshmallows and pulling the ornament balls off their hangers and running away with them. I have since curbed her of that and the tree sits brightly in the corner with the lights on all day! It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas....{now, if only it didn't feel like I should still be running the AC!}
