Currently Lauren likes to organize her drawers.
She does it for fun; especially when she is putting away her laundry.
She gets it from her mother.
Currently she thinks she can speak Spanish.
She will speak what few Spanish words she knows, mixed with gibberish.
Then asks me what it means.
I invariably give the same answer: I don't know, you tell me.
Then she kindly translates for me.
It's nice to have a bilingual daughter.

Tell me where you get such funny daughters? Oh, yes... they also get that from their mother ;-)
tell her, I'd be glad to speak spanish with her :D
Maybe you should get some spanish vocab flash cards (or make them) so you can increase the vocab and lessen the gibberish :D
When Mallory was in first grade she told me they got a new girl in her class who only spoke Spanish. She said they had become fast friends. I expressed to her how great that was, and maybe she could teach the friend English while the new girl taught Mallory some Spanish.
Mallory's response, "Uh, Mom, I already know Spanish."
News to me.
Lizzy also believes she can speak Spanish as well. There is a Summer class for 5-? year-olds. I may enroll her through the city. Lizzy would love to take the class with Lauren.
That is so funny!! My 5 year old does that also but it is all gibber that he says is spanish. So cute!! haha!
