{The Polar Express}

"Seeing is believing, but sometimes the most real
things in the world are the things we can't see."
The Conductor, The Polar Express

We rode the Polar Express in Williams, Arizona.
Where did it take us, you ask? To the North Pole, of course!

We arrived just before they began boarding and only had to wait outside in the cold for a few minutes. Lauren, Ryan and Lacie loved playing in the snow and Kylee was just content sitting in the stroller all bundled up.

Once we were all aboard the warm and toasty Polar Express, we removed all the warm layers of clothing and settled in for the ride to the North Pole to see Santa. All the kids looked really cute in their jammies!

They fed us cookies and hot chocolate on the way to the North Pole. When we arrived, we could see Santa outside checking his list and preparing for Christmas Eve. However, when we rode past again to tell him goodbye, he was gone! No one knew where he went. On the ride back to the station we all sang Christmas songs. Then guess who arrived! Santa Claus! He surprised us all and jumped on the train to see us!

Lauren didn't know what to think and was very surprised! Santa visited with each child for a minute and gave them each a bell.

By then, Lacie had fallen asleep but Santa left her a bell anyway. He even gave Johanna a bell and said she was going to "need it for the future." (Either Santa is really good--or he could just tell she is pregnant!)

The kids all loved their bells and happily rang them for ALL to hear!

I am glad we were able to have this experience with family and share in the joy of Christmas time and the excitement our children have for Santa Claus!

"This bell is a wonderful symbol of the spirit of Christmas - as am I.
Just remember, the true spirit of Christmas lies in your heart."
-Santa Claus, The Polar Express

How FUN!! I love making memories like that. I'm going to have to check out this train...we went on a pumpkin patch train ride in Idaho and it was sooooo fun. They had a similar one for Christmas but never made it. Glad you had a good time. And those coats were adorable... :)

Oh! I'm jealous! We heard about it too late. The tickets were all sold out on the days we could go. I think I'll buy tickets for next year in January!
