{Halloween}

Halloween really did sneak up on us again this year.  Kylee decided she wanted to be a purple princess and Lauren wanted to be a blue fairy.  I didn't feel like hunting down the perfect costume, so we opted for tutus!  I bought the fabric before we headed out of town and made them at my grandmas.  In my mind they were huge and fluffy.  Instead they were medium and see through {they need matching leggings!}!  Oh well. We added some dollar store accessories and the girls thought they were great and they did look cute!

I had costume options for Bailey, but it was so warm, I didn't feel like torturing her.  I threw on a pink tutu with her pink onesie and she completed the tutu trio! Then I gave her a sucker and she was lovin' this Halloween business!

 

Our ward had a Trunk or Treat {pictures above} as the last event before all the boundaries changed.   It was one fun party!  Then Lauren's school had a costume parade on the track.  They all thought it was pretty awesome!

Finally, we finished off our Halloween celebrations with the Nelsons!  The dad's QUICKLY took the kids trick or treating down the street and back.  That was it.  I think the probably stopped at 10 houses if they were lucky!  It almost wasn't even worth putting on costumes for!

However, nearly a month later, we still have a big bag of candy sitting on the counter {luckily it isn't anything I like!}.  Glad we survived another year of my least favorite holiday!

{Halloween}

With a due date of October 28th, I was hoping we would pass over Halloween this year. I was just not in the mood! However, when the 29th came and I was still pregnant, I figured I needed to suck it up and let the kids enjoy the holiday and take them to our Ward Trunk- or-Treat!

Luckily the girls were completely happy with being princesses, costumes we already had! Kylee picked Ariel {the bride} and Lauren picked Snow White. At the trunk-or-treat, Dean and the girls walked around collecting candy while I handed out candy to all the other kids. The kids loved it and came home with way more candy than we needed!



Sunday after church, we carved the pumpkin! Lauren has been waiting so patiently, since we bought the thing in the beginning of October, to carve it! The girls picked to have Dean carve a witch and Dean got to work! Lauren tried pulling the guts out, but neither of them cared for the messiness of it all. {They get that from their mother!}









Halloween night, we headed over to spend the evening with the Farar's, while waiting to hear from the hospital, if I would be induced or not that night. By 7pm the hospital called and said to be there by 8pm! Dean and I rushed home, gathered all our things, went back and told the girls goodbye and headed for the hospital! We were hours away from being parents of 3 little girls!
