{That's a Threat}

Me: Kylee you need to put back all the pillows.

Kylee: But I want to make a bed.
Me: No. Put them back.
Kylee: I'm going to get the Farar Lip out!

And then she proceeded to stick out her big, pouty lip!

Unfortunately for her, it doesn't work on me.

She put the pillows back.

Have I mentioned we're in trouble??

{Party Time}

After Kylee covered her room in toilet paper:

Me: Kylee, why would you do that? Why would you waste all that toilet paper?

Kylee: Because I wanted to trash the place like a party!!

Oh, dear! We are in so much trouble! Can we somehow keep her from becoming a teenager???

{Off the Hook}

Lauren: Did you know it's only 4 hours to grandma's house?
Grandma: Actually it's 3.
Lauren: But Mom you said 4.
Me: Yes. We were off.
Lauren: What do you mean off?
Grandma: Like "off your rocker"
Kylee: Or you can be "off the hook!"

{Daughter's Day}

Kylee: Mom, what are you getting me for Mother's Day?
Me: Nothing!  It's a day for Moms, not daughters.
Kylee: When's Daughters Day??
Me: There isn't one.
Kylee {totally disgusted}: Well, you could have told me!

Sorry do disappoint you Kylee.  I am pretty sure everyday but Mother's Day is Daughters Day at our house!

{When I Was Three}

After running an errand we stopped at Taco Bell to get my sister lunch before taking her back to work:

Kylee: Can I get a taco???
Me: No. You don't like tacos.
Kylee: Yes I do!!
Me: No you don't.  They have beans in them.
Kylee {after  a moment of silence}: Well, I ate a taco when I was three. Hollllaaaa!

Ashley and I were CRACKING up! Laughing so hard we were in tears! Really? {head shaking}

Defintion:

 holla

interj. 1. an exclamation of greeting. 2. an exclamation used to show excitement or enthusiasm. verb. 1. to call. 2. to summon

 At least she uses it in the right context!

{Dance Class}

Dean: Are you excited for dance class today?
Kylee: Yes! But I hope I don't split my pants!

Let it be known she enjoyed her first dance class, did gymnastics and learned how to do a flip. She did not split her pants.

**Is it just me, or is it extremely difficult to say "dance class" without saying it in a slightly Russian-Dr. Gru-Accent?!?!..."Actually, we're going to have to skip the dance class today."

{Nay}

My girls like to pick what character they are while watching a movie or tv show.  And lately, Kylee makes you GUESS EVERYTHING! So today while watching Beauty and the Beast with Kylee, this was our conversation:

K: Mom! Guess who I am!
Me: Belle?
K: Yes! Who are you?
Me: Since Belle's the only girl, I don't know.
K: Well....there's a horse!

Yep.  I'm the horse.

{It's Genetic}

While playing Uno with Lauren and a friend:

Kylee: Okay. Now somebody has to win.....So I will.

Spoken like a true Farar.

{Hair So Healthy, It Shines}

While watching a Pantene Pro V shampoo commercial, the actress had long beautiful hair:

Kylee: Mom, you need to get more hair.
Me: What? Why?
Kylee: Like hers, Mom.

Ha ha ha. That kid cracks me up! If only it were that easy to get hair so healthy it shines!

{She Said It}

I can't remember what had happened, but I was trying to figure out who had made the mess or caused the problem...

Me: Kylee did you do that?
Kylee: No! Maybe it was a ghost!
Me: Yep.  I bet that's what happened.

While sitting in the bank drive through, Kylee could see a cell tower with a big blinking light on the top:

Kylee: What is that mom? I've never seen that before.
Me: The tower?
Kylee: What's it doing? Cause it's freaking me out!

I am not sure where she gets this from, crazy girl!

{Lunch with the Biebs}

I was laughing at some sarcastic comment I was texting to Dean and Lauren asked what he said, then Kylee chimed in:

Me: Dad is going to lunch with Justin.
Kylee: Dad is going to lunch with Justin Bieber???

Yep! Dean and The Biebs are BFF's!

{A Croc}

Shopping for new shoes for Kylee at Children's Place today:

Me: Kylee will you wear these cute sandals?
Kylee: No....Do they sell Crocs here??
Me: No. No sweetie they don't.

Why do I fight it? I give up.  Crocs it is!  But someday when she comes to me and asks why I made her wear those ridiculous shoes...here's my proof.  I tried!

{I'm Not Listening}

It was way past bed time and Kylee was on one: hyper, sassy, crazy. After prayer I had her face in mine giving her the step by step directions to get in bed, so she didn't get herself in trouble. Before I could finish, she began making puppet gestures with her hand while saying, and I quote, "Blah, blah blah. Blah, blah, blah. Blah, blah, blah, blah."

No. I'm not kidding.

Dean immediately busted up laughing and cowered down so she couldn't see. It took all I had to keep control of myself, keep a straight face and not let her see me laugh! As soon as she was gone, I lost it. Really? Where did she come up with this??

Then tonight, I gave her her goodnight hug and kiss and she asked:
"What color is the new black?.....Sparkles!" {said with spirit fingers and all}

Oh. We are in so much trouble.

{Quotable Quotes}

In our house we quote movies...a lot. The kids are far better at it than I am. They smoke me in Disney Scene It and whenever we play our made up movie quotes game {someone says a quote and everyone else guesses the movie}. I usually lose. They are good. Maybe too good.

We were sitting at the counter and I was giving Dean a hard time about something he did {don't remember what} and Kylee all of a sudden says:

"You bit the hand, Marty! You bit the hand!"
{Alex to Marty- in DreamWork's- Madagascar}

It was hilarious! We just busted up laughing. It totally fit the conversation too!
Crazy kid!!

Then the other day, Kylee climbed up in my lap and was telling me about how Nanny McPhee's warts disappeared during the movie. Then she informed me that mine had not. I still had two. Then she pointed to my mole and a zit. It really boosted my self esteem.

{So Happy!}

Today Kylee and I were playing playdoh. As I was rolling out the playdoh:

Kylee: Mommy, what are you making?
Me: A heart.
Kylee: For me???
Me: Yes!
Kylee: Ahhh. That makes me so happy! You are my best Mommy!

{Fun Factory}

The Fun Factory has recently reopened and since it is supposed to be more "family friendly," we decided to take the big girls there one Saturday. It was fun to be able to focus on them, something that hasn't happened a whole lot since, oh I don't know, November 1st!

The day included a merry-go-round ride, miniature golf, go cart racing, video games and a photo booth. We opted out of the bumper boats since Mom and Dad didn't feel like getting wet {Party Poopers!}!

The girls had their first try at a photo booth. They obviously struggled with it! It cracks me up!

Although Dean, Lauren and I thought we had a good time, Kylee kept crying "I didn't have any fun yet" as we were leaving. Apparently almost 2 hours in the fun factory is just not enough fun!

{That Was Awesome}

Kylee had her first experience with an automatic flushing toilet today:

Me: You don't have to flush. It does it on it's own.
FLUSH---Kyle backs out of the stall, startled.
Kylee: Wow. Who do that?...That was AWESOME!!!

{Tell Me How You Really Feel}

Me: Kylee, what should you be for Halloween?
Kylee: A witch or a scary monster!
Me: No, I want you to be something happy, not scary. How about a pretty princess?
Kylee: No! I want to be a witch or a scary monster! You be Mother Gothel.

Oh good, I get to the the creepy, crabby, old lady who keeps her kidnapped "daughter" locked in a tower away from civilization- while making her sing and comb her hair! Sounds just like me! Glad to know how she really feels about her dear ol' mother!

{The Devil}

We were reading scriptures one morning and Dean read a part about the devil. He asked Lauren if she knew who the devil was. Kylee chimed in:

Kylee: The devil's at Grandma's house!!
Me and Dean: What?
Kylee: The devil's at Grandma's house.
Me: Um. Why is the devil at Grandma's house?
Kylee: The devil's at Grandma's house!

I thought for a minute, then it all made sense. The kids got Grandma Beth's Halloween costumes out the other day. Kylee tried on the little devil costume. Hence, "the devil's at Grandma's house."

Not sure how Grandma feels about Kylee thinking the devil lives at her house.

Ah...another reason Halloween is NOT my favorite Holiday!

{My Princess}

Walking through the makeup isles at Target:

Kylee: Mom, I need yipstick.
Me: No. I don't think you NEED lipstick.
Kylee: Yes I do. I'm a fairy princess!

Yes. Yes you are!
