{The Best Part}

Kylee went on a Daddy-Daughter date with Dean:

Kylee: Guess what I had for lunch! Macaroni and cheese, fries, ice cream, a shake, water and brownies!...But do you know what the best part was?? Spending time with Daddy!

Dean said she was an expensive date, but I think it was worth every penny!

{Swimming Lessons}

We kicked off our summer with back to back swimming lessons for Lauren and Kylee.  They both did really well and had improved significantly by the end of the two weeks.  I thought Kylee would be more hesitant, but she jumped in with both feet {literally and usually aiming for Miss Mary}.  The girls were in the same classes as the cousins so that was a lot of fun too!  Now they are ready for summer!

{On A Hike}

While in Bagdad, we took the kids on a "hike."  We were in search of old mines and gold {or at least sparkly rocks}.  We saw lots of pretty flowers and even a little wildlife. Plus being with cousins is always a good time. It is such a pretty area and it was nice to get out and not sweat to death!

{Fair Enough}

Fair time again and I don't think the weather could have been more miserable. It was so hot, but we suffered through it for the sake of merry-go-round rides and corn dogs!  Bailey slept through most of our adventure. Kylee was excited to ride some of the "bigger" rides with Lauren.  Well, until she got on the big swings, then the fun and games were over.  It was just screaming and tears until the ride was over!  We all survived and ended the afternoon with cotton candy!

{Dance Class}

Kylee took a dance class through the city.  It was pretty informal, but it was fun for her to have something to look forward to each Friday!  She looked so cute in her dance clothes!

On the last day they had a recital that the families were invited too. She wore a pretty dress and her happy face shirt.  She was so excited for us to come see her dance.  We loved it!

{At the Park}

During the cooler months we tried to spend as much time as possible outside before the miserable summer sets in.  This includes hitting up all the local parks.  The kids favorite, of course, is the castle park.  Dean and I however, despise this park.  There are more nooks and crannies to loose your kid in than we care for and the place is often packed!  This particular Saturday, we felt like good, generous parents and agreed to go.  It really is a pretty awesome park and the kids always have a BLAST!
