A few months ago, Kylee was having some issues. She had an obsession with sticking things up her nose. The first time was a Cinderella slipper that she sneezed out on her own. Then it was a sticker, that I used a trick D4 taught me, that worked like a charm.
Finally, she decided it was a good idea to stick a pencil eraser up there {October 15th}. I tried my darnedest to get it out with no luck. Then D4 tried. Still nothing. Finally, Dean took her to urgent care. The doctor there wanted her to go to the hospital and have x-rays done, because he couldn't see it! Um...yeah right!
By this point she was hysterical and completely uncooperative and her parents were mentally exhausted from fighting her all day about it! We knew we needed to get it out, although nothing probably would have happened, there was the fear it would move further up, cause infection, or dislodge and she could choke on it. Plus, it was big enough that it was actually irritating her. I was getting closer to my due date and the last thing I wanted was to leave the eraser up there and have problems with it later, when I was in the hospital or with a new born.
We decided to just wait until she was asleep. Dean fashioned a hook out of a paper clip, and tried to get it out. No luck. Finally I said, let's pray and try one more time! We prayed and the next try, that darn eraser came flying out of her sweet little nose! I am pretty sure I cried!
Apparently that day alone was torture enough for her. She has not put anything else up her nose. Let's hope it stays that way!

We went through that stage with Hailey. When she put a tic tac up her nose and it burned, it broke her of the habit. Hopefully, she's learned her lesson!
Yikes! I'm glad that you were able to get that out.
