Lauren is officially sleeping in a big girl bed (its a twin). She wasn't as excited about it as I thought she would be, but for the first week she has done quite well. She still has to play with my hair to go to sleep, but I don't mind laying by her until she does. Last night was her first night of not waking up in the night so that was great too. So even though Lauren has been doing well, her mother is not doing so well. Part of the reason for moving to a big girl bed was that Lauren slept with us....in a queen...ever since she had her seizure. But now with my enlarging stomach and apparent pregnancy induced insomnia, I couldn't take it anymore. She had to go. I thought for sure I would sleep a lot better. Instead...I lay in bed...still not sleeping of course...only now...missing her...paranoid of all the terrible things that could happen in night. But I have been good. I have resisted the temptation to just go grab her. I even came up with a theme song (most likely due to sleep deprivation) for this situation...think CAKE--"Stick Shifts and Safety Belts." I know...I know....I am weird...I'll get over it right. I think with the next kid we will make it easier and just keep her in her own bed from the beginning...I can do it!
So on Saturday I went to Target (the greatest store ever) with my mom and Ashley. Ash kept throwing clothes in the cart she wanted to try on, so Lauren decided to try them all on in the cart while we were waiting. She would tell us which ones "matched" her shirt and hold them up to her. It was pretty funny. She is such a girl. She has even inherited her fathers obsession of shoes. We could be in trouble later.

Lauren sure is a cutie! Good for you to get her in her own bed. I have never shared with my kids because I NEED my sleep. I insist they are always in their own bed. I'm sure you're much happier with the extra space. Fun pictures!!

Adorable!!! Congrats on the big girl bed. Hey I still sleep with a baby monitor on right next to me so that I can hear what's going on. Ryan and Reagan still come into my bed sometime during the night and sometimes I don't put them back in their bed because it's nice just to cuddle with them for a bit.
I'm glad you found my blog! Girls Night was definitely fun and I for sure needed it! Thanks for the comments! When did Lauren have a seizure? Remi had them right after her 1st bday. She had to stay in the hospital for two days! It was sooooo scary! So I know what you mean when you want to check on her every minute!
