except for when "the boy" is there! (I'll explain) Lauren started swimming lessons this week. She has done really well and is actually catching on a lot faster than I had imagined. We don't have a pool and I think prior to this she has been swimming in a real pool only 4 times, so I anticipated her freaking out when I threw her in with complete strangers, but she loves it. Tuesday was good, just getting a feel, but then Wednesday came. Mary (one of the teachers) was unable to be there, so her son filled in for her. (Well lately Lauren freaks out if you make her go near a teenage or early 20's boy. We can't figure out why, other than we don't know many that age so she isn't used to them.) I tried forcing her to swim with him, but she would just freak out. So lessons that day were not fun. Then all day before lessons on Thursday she kept asking me "where's the boy?" Luckily that evening Mary was back, and Chelsea taught the little girls and she did great...until..."the boy" walked outside. Lauren flipped out again, crying hysterically. Once he left, she was good again...so weird! Then Friday was good too. After her first week, she puts her face in, opens her eyes underwater, blows bubbles, jumps in, kicks, "abba dabbas" (scoots along side of pool holding on to the edge) and floats on her tummy. We are still working on the floating on her back, paddling and climbing out of the side of the pool, but we have one more week to go! She almost swims better than her mommy! Here are some pictures and video of the fun!

She is so stinkin' cute!!!
Mary is, hands down, the greatest swim teacher of all time! Isn't she?
I have to agree that she is so cute!
It sounds like she is doing really well. Hopefully, she will continue doing well. (as long as you don't bring back that boy :)
That is so strange... how does she do with Bobby?
