Lauren's two new favorite phrases are: "I wish I..." and "I never get to..."
I wish I had a shirts like yours. Only smaller.
I wish I could go to school.
I wish I had a horsey costume.
I wish I had a frog in my house.
Basically the "I wish" precedes anything she sees and wants, but doesn't have. Perhaps this is the precursor for a "Bad Case of the Gimmies"! As far as the "I never get to," it precedes anything I tell her she is not allowed to do. Like eat pudding for breakfast, or watch a movie at 10pm. I'm such a mean mom!
Lauren: Mommy there are freckles in the office.
Me: There are what?
Lauren: There are freckles in the office...all over...come look!
Then she took me into the office and showed me the freckles--the whole punches that fell out of the 3-hole punch, spread out on the floor! "See...freckles"
While at my mom's house, I went to check on Lauren who was watching a movie in Grandma's room. When I got there, she was in the room with the door shut and locked. I knocked on the door. "Lauren open this door right now." I hear crinkle, crinkle, crinkle. Then she opens the door and promptly runs and sits back on the floor in front of the bed.
Me: Lauren what are you doing?
Lauren: (snicker, snicker) Nothing.
Me: Lauren whats under the bed?
Lauren: (Uncontrollably laughing) MARSHMALLOWS!
That little stinker had snagged the bag of marshmallows from the pantry and locked herself in the room so she could eat them, thinking she wouldn't get caught! Oh we have a long road ahead of us!
(Whenever I get my camera out, Lauren says "Mom, lets take a picture like this" and holds her arm out like she is taking a picture of herself. Then she grabs me by the neck and gets in close for our self-portrait! I sure love her!)

Lauren and Lizzy must be twins separated at birth. They sound so much alike. I'm not sure that we should ever get the two together! :) Never a dull moment!
:D hahaha! at least right now she can't keep the truth from you :D
